Role Overview

As our Mobile Developer, you'll own the mobile experience that sits at the heart of Tendable's product—the tool healthcare professionals rely on daily to conduct quality inspections and improve patient safety. You'll work closely with the SLT, engineers, and product managers to build and scale our iOS and Android applications. You will have the opportunity to shape mobile architecture decisions, provide mentorship to junior team members, and solve complex technical challenges in offline-first, data-intensive environments.

What You'll Do

• Own the development and optimisation of our mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

• Architect and implement robust offline-first functionality for use in low-connectivity healthcare environments.

• Write, review, and optimise critical sections of code, ensuring high performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into seamless mobile experiences.

• Drive best practices in mobile engineering, including CI/CD, testing, and code quality.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Ensure feature parity and consistent UX across both platforms.

• Contribute to technical roadmap decisions as the mobile product scales.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development, with proven expertise in both iOS and Android.

• Strong proficiency in native app development with Swift and Kotlin.

• Proven experience building offline-first applications with complex data synchronisation.

• Experience with form-heavy workflows and real-time data capture.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, RESTful APIs, and mobile security best practices.

• Deep understanding of platform-specific design guidelines (HIG, Material Design).

• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.

• Ability to balance speed and tech debt, making pragmatic trade-offs.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, compliance, or regulated industries.

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, or healthcare data protection standards.

• Background in performance optimisation and reducing latency at scale.

• Experience with AI/ML integration in mobile applications.

• Published apps on App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppConnect.
