Senior Product Owner
Hybrid working (3-4 days in the office - HQ in Euston, London)
About us:
We are a fast growing, venture capital backed business founded 6 years ago, applying the best digital technology to solve one of healthcare's most important challenges - how to engage front line teams in continuously improving quality and patient safety. Our aim is to bring a transformational digital user experience to front line staff, across all health and social care settings, by removing manual paper-based processes, thereby freeing up time to care. In doing so, we provide front-line teams with the information and evidence needed to improve their services. We seek to provide management, boards, and investors in these sectors with a real time view of quality across their organisations so they can support quality improvement and evidence quality.
Based off an exceptional early-stage product, our business currently supplies a range of blue chip organisations both in the UK and now in 2 international markets. However, we now seek to take our offering to the next level. Our business has ambitious growth plans for product development (new features and modules) as well as international sales.
We actively seek out people who demonstrate our four core values:
- Focus relentlessly on our customers needs
- Are committed to working as part of an outstanding team
- Who are impatient for change and want to improve things quickly
- Who innovate with purpose
What we are looking for:
To support Tendable’s plans for growth in the UK and internationally, we are looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our expanding Product team. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will gather feature requests, write user stories based on the feature requests, prioritise sprint backlogs and assist with sprint queries and user acceptance testing. You should be able to identify user needs, help a customer understand a business value, and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. The Senior Product Owner role is important for the company to deliver product not just according to the user needs, but meeting the vision of the company.
About you:
Join us and seize the opportunity to shape the future of the health and social care sector as a Senior Product Owner. Be an integral part of every stage of the product lifecycle, ensuring we develop prioritized, valuable solutions, and execute them effectively. Your ability to tackle product challenges and step outside your comfort zone will be invaluable in achieving success. Your passion and enthusiasm will make a tangible impact on the working lives of health and social care staff, from frontline workers to board members.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Product Owner, you will be responsible for:
- Crafting and documenting customer-centric user stories (requirements)
- Continuously prioritizing user stories within the product backlog in alignment with user needs, business objectives, and product roadmap
- Continuously prioritizing bugs within the bug backlog based on priority and severity
- Engaging regularly with internal and external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to ensure we create products and features that truly delight our users
- Overseeing one or more scrum teams, ensuring the product/feature vision and user stories are well-understood during development
- Managing relationships between the sprint team(s) and internal and external stakeholders
- Collaboratively defining features using agile development principles, ensuring optimal customer and business value delivery
Essential skills/experience:
- At least 5 years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management
- In-depth understanding and experience with Agile methodologies
- Ability to gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
- Track record of successfully releasing products that exceed business objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills, especially when working with individuals who may have less developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, particularly in collaborating with development teams
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Strong organizational skills
Desired skills/experience:
- Experience with ClickUp
- Experience leading scrum ceremonies
- Background in product development for health and social care needs
- Familiarity with the healthcare sector is a plus

Our workplace and culture
At Tendable, we apply the best digital technology to solve one of healthcare’s most important challenges: how to continuously raise the bar on quality.
The Tendable app and web platform make quality inspections quicker, easier and more effective by bringing the mobile user experience we all know and love to the frontlines of the healthcare industry.
About Tendable
Health and care workers are called to their professions because of a passion for people, not paperwork. Yet, healthcare staff often spend more time on admin than caring for patients.
At the same time, health and care workers face new challenges in keeping our communities healthy. As a result, understanding and improving quality in care is more critical now than ever.
Across care and clinical settings, teams want to do better for the people and communities they care for. First, they need to know what better means.
This is why we created Tendable.
